about wicked bride
Wicked Bride is a custom stationery and letterpress company based in Massachusetts. Why Wicked? I'm a sucker for puns, and being from the Boston area and a Halloween bride, the moniker seemed aptly fitting. Everything started with our 2009 Halloween nuptials. Once our friends and family saw the invitations and paper creations for our hauntingly chic affair, requests started pouring in and I was encouraged to give the stationery business a go.
I started small, filling stationery orders nights and weekends while I ran the publications department of a small Boston college during my daylight hours. In 2011, my husband and I purchased our first home, and the business quickly began taking over the first floor. In May 2012, the studio was further expanded with the purchase of our first letterpress, which we lovingly nicknamed Ella Pressgerald. Not long after bringing home our 1500 pound bundle of joy, I gave up the corporate world to run Wicked Bride full time.
All of our products are printed locally in New England and everything is wrapped and packed by hand. We are proud to use papers and envelopes with a high post-consumer recycled content, and everything in the studio is either recycled, repurposed, or otherwise reused.
While Wicked Bride is happy to provide any kind of stationery imaginable, I have a love affair with fine invitations. Why? An invitation can tell your guests everything they need to know about the event, and about the sender. Is it cool and casual? Is it a formal, fancy-pants fete? An invitation can set the tone for your entire event and many live on as treasured keepsakes in the hands of your guests.
My goal is to craft beautiful, keepsake-worthy stationery that takes your event from special to spectacular. I'm a firm believer that one-size-does-not-fit all (unless you're a poncho) and my eclectic tastes are reflected in my diverse stationery collection. I aim to create show-stopping stationery for your special day, no matter the theme or color scheme.
